Location data: Your location is used only to help you find nearby parks, vets, and pet stores, and to show nearby community posts. Your precise location is never shared with other users — only general neighborhood information is displayed.
For legal reasons: We may disclose your information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Furova, its users, or the public.
Furova requests your location permission before accessing any location features. If you deny permission, the map will not be displayed and distance information will not be shown on community posts. You can enable or revoke location permission at any time in your device Settings.
When location is enabled, Furova uses your GPS coordinates only to find nearby parks, vets, pet stores, and community posts. Your exact GPS coordinates are never shared with other users or stored in community posts. Distances displayed on community posts are approximate and rounded to protect user privacy — we never display a distance precise enough to allow someone to determine another user's exact location. All location data is collected only while the app is actively in use.
Photos you upload — including pet profile photos and community post photos — are stored securely on our servers. Photos shared in community posts are visible to other nearby users. We do not use your photos for advertising or sell them to third parties.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we permanently delete all your personal data including pets, posts, reminders, and health logs within 30 days.
Furova is intended for users aged 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 17. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@furova.app and we will delete it promptly.

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), secure authentication tokens (JWT), and encrypted database storage. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Free-tier users see advertisements delivered by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier and usage data to show relevant ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising in your device's privacy settings.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy at furova.app/privacy and updating the effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
